    Emergency Housing Program Manager

     

    Opportunities for Otsego is seeking a highly qualified solution-oriented professional to lead the Emergency Housing Assistance Program (https://ofoinc.org/find-program/emergency-housing) team that is part of the solution to the local housing crisis, offering hope and stability to homeless families and those at risk of becoming homeless.

    Responsibilities include:

    + Managing programs, operations, and procedures, supervisors and employees in the program

    + Developing and monitoring annual budgets, work plans, goals, and refunding applications

    + Ensuring program quality and compliance with agency policy, regulatory requirements, program standards, and funding source requirements

    + Participating in agency, community, regional, and statewide trainings and meetings

    + Ensuring timely submission of reports, bid packages, budget amendments, and other documentation

    + Ensuring accurate maintenance of data and documentation needed for audits, compliance, and contracts

    Minimum Education and Experience:

    Bachelor's degree in human services or related field; or relevant experience in related human services management.; valid, unrestricted NYS driver’s license and reliable vehicle.

    Expected Skills:

    Technical and service skills required by duties; client service orientation; accountability for results; teamwork; adaptability; reliability; specialized knowledge of the field; consistent exercise of discretion and judgment; work predominantly varied in character; program management; performance management; basic computer skills (including, but not limited to: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook); strong communication skills (including telephone, email, and writing).

    Working Conditions:

    Typical shelter environment and equipment; work with clients in crisis; local travel.

    Pay Range Guide:

    + Standard Start Rate - education and experience meet job requirements

    + Advanced Start Rate - education and experience exceed job requirements (subject to approval)
