    SUMMARY

    The Advanced Quality Engineer coordinates, administers, and performs the quality function of an engineering and technical nature to ensure product quality and reliability at minimum quality costs.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Coordinate, administer and perform the quality function of an engineering and technical nature to ensure product quality and reliability at minimum quality costs.

    + Completion and documentation of all phases of the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process.

    + Prepare and submit all necessary PPAP documentation per AIAG or VDA guidelines.

    + Develop gauge concepts and procure gauges for specific programs. Work with component and tooling/equipment suppliers to improve products and resolve manufacturing problems.

    + Participate in Simultaneous Development Teams (SDT's). Participate in internal audits as required.

    + Support the Product Introduction Process through all phases of prototype fabrication and delivery.

    + Ensure that appropriate statistical methods are utilized throughout the Product and Process Development process and deployed into the Control Plan

    + Responsible for completion of all other Customer-specific Advance Quality requirements.

    + Ensure that Customer, internally identified, and supplier quality issues are resolved using the appropriate problem-solving methods (Kepner-Tregoe, 8-D, DOE, 5 Why, Red X, etc.).

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    + Quality training in the core disciplines is required, including: IATF, ISO/TS 16949, VDA, Continuous Improvement, Total Quality Management, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, DOE, and SPC.

    + Experience being responsible for review of a customer PPAP.

    + A Bachelor's Degree in engineering or a technical area.

    + Minimum 5 years Quality Engineering inside Manufacturing - Automotive Preferred
