As a Quality Inspector you will play a crucial role in ensuring our metal production processes' integrity, reliability, and compliance. Operating within our mill environment, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive inspections at various stages of the milling manufacturing process to maintain the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
+ Perform detailed inspections of raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods to verify adherence to quality standards and specifications.
+ Monitor milling operations to identify any deviations from established procedures or quality benchmarks, intervening promptly to address issues and minimize production disruptions.
+ Utilize precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to assess machined components' dimensional accuracy and consistency.
+ Conduct mechanical tests, including hardness testing, tensile strength testing, and metallurgical analysis, to evaluate material properties and ensure conformance to regulatory requirements.
+ Maintain detailed records of inspection results, documenting any deviations, non-conformities, or quality concerns observed during the inspection process. Generate comprehensive reports for internal review and regulatory compliance purposes.
+ Collaborate with production teams, engineers, and quality assurance personnel to implement corrective actions, process improvements, and preventive measures aimed at enhancing product quality and operational efficiency.
+ Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements governing the manufacturing of metal products, addressing any non-compliance issues proactively.
Requirements:
+ A high school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in metallurgy, machining, or quality assurance is preferred.
+ 1-3 years’ experience in a quality inspection role within a metals manufacturing environment, with knowledge of mill operations and metalworking processes.
+ Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
+ Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and troubleshoot quality issues effectively.
+ Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and quality control tools and methodologies.
+ Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in conducting inspections and recording data.
+ Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
+ Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
**Pay Details:** $20.00 to $25.00 per hour
