    Duration: Direct Hire

     

    Locations: Bradenton, Palmetto, Sarasota, Arcadia

     

    Pay rate range: $26-30/hour

     

    Schedule: M-F, 8am - 5pm

    JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

    • Adheres to the time and attendance policy as written in the employee handbook

    • Must be able to float to alternative locations as instructed by your supervisor with short

    notice to ensure adequate site coverage

    • Responsible for providing vital signs, interviewing the patient/family, and charting

    • Collaborates with healthcare providers in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating

    the needs of the patients and peers

    • Maintains positive effective communication with providers, supervisors, and peers

    • Ensures Provider’s orders are directed to the various appropriate departments

    • Knowledgeable and assist Providers as requested with exams, procedures, removal of

     

    sutures, etc.

     

    • Completes medication and DME authorizations for patients in a timely manner

    • Knowledgeable in walk-in triage and interventions regarding patients' age under the

    leadership of the Clinical Nurse Leader

    • Knowledgeable regarding all medical forms (PE, work excuses, proof of pregnancy, etc.)

    • Knowledgeable regarding patient-specific reports and logs

    • Demonstrates knowledge of ordered medications and immunizations and their appropriate

    route of administration

    • Adheres to the medication administration policy

    • Able to triage patients and provide appropriate clinical advice via phone and correctly

    document in the patient’s chart

    • Able to perform EKGs during triage as needed

    • Meets all lab requirements and is knowledgeable regarding lab processing procedures and

    phlebotomy

    • Knowledgeable and demonstrates the ability to perform all CLIA Waived Test

    • Maintains an open line of communication with Nursing Leadership

    • Assists in providing the proper training to new employees, including orientation,

     

    skills/competency training, new equipment training, continuing education, standard

    operating procedures, policies, and documentation within the electronic health record

    • Ability to always ensure smooth patient flow

    • Inventory and stock exam rooms daily

    • Knowledgeable regarding proper instrument cleaning, packing, and handling

    • Review and prepare medical records for the patient visit two days in advance

    • Participates in Quality Improvement activities

    • Participates in community functions as appropriate and promotes the concept of “Patient’s

     

    First” is essential

    SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:

    + Strong, in-depth knowledge of leadership principles and practices of Nursing Operations

    + including patient flow, regulatory compliance, customer service, and evidence-based patient care

    + Excellent patient care skills and ensure patient safety

    + Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

    + Strong attention to detail and to remember patient allergies and prescribed medications and treatments

    + Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions

    + Ensures compliance with HIPPA

    + Good computer skills and data entry for charting and other tasks

    + Ensures team members are following patient safety and protocols

    + Knowledge and ability to understand, interpret, and communicate Client’s Health’s policies and procedures

    + Excellent time management and organizational skills

    + Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrates the ability to work well with colleagues and clients and with external organizations

    + Promote Culture of Safety: Demonstrates commitment to personal responsibility and value

    + for safety; communicates safety concerns; uses and promotes safe behaviors based on training and lessons learned

    + Subject to and expected to comply with all MCR Health applicable policies and procedures,

    + including but not limited to Health personnel policies

    REQUIREMENTS & PREFERENCES:

    + Licensed LPN in good standing with the Florida Board of Nursing required

    + Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program required

    + Minimum of 1 year of experience in professional nursing experience preferred

    + Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or

    + American Safety and Health Institute Required

    + Cardio Department ONLY: ACLS Certification through the American Heart Association,

    + American Red Cross, or American Health and Safety Institute Required

    + Microsoft Office Products – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint proficiency preferred
