    Maintenance Mechanic – 1st Shift

    **Location:** Batavia, NY

    **Pay Range:** $24.00 – $35.00/hour (based on experience)

     

    Join a team where your mechanical expertise keeps operations running smoothly and your contributions are valued every day. We’re looking for a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to support our industrial laundry facility with hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of essential equipment.

    What You’ll Do:

    + Start up and shut down plant machinery daily

    + Operate and maintain boiler systems; perform water and boiler tests

    + Conduct preventive and emergency maintenance on industrial equipment

    + Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems (3-phase, 230V), hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLCs

    + Perform welding, cutting, and fabrication tasks

    + Maintain facility infrastructure including plumbing, carpentry, and chemical systems

    + Repair company vehicles and forklifts

    + Collaborate with engineering and production teams on equipment modifications

    + Document maintenance activities and manage inventory

    What You Bring:

    + High school diploma or equivalent

    + Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

    + Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in a commercial laundry or production facility

    + Strong electrical troubleshooting and PLC programming skills

    + Experience with welding, boiler operations, and general facility repairs

    + Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. and work in industrial environments

    Work Environment:

    This role is based in an industrial laundry facility with exposure to large machinery, varying temperatures, noise, humidity, and dust. Physical activity includes lifting, bending, pushing/pulling carts up to 500 lbs., and working in confined spaces. Occasional travel may be required to procure parts.
