Assist the Area Supervisors as needed to facilitate meeting production goals, gather and track information for daily reporting requirements. The Presort/Sorter Operator will monitor the flow of inbound cartons going into the area and troubleshoot issues as they arise. In addition, they will effectively communicate with associates and management in a timely manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

+ Gain and use an understanding of how the sorter(s) and complex conveyor systems feed and impact each other in order to adjust or call out to prevent material disruption in processing

+ Monitor conveyor accumulation for signs of system balance, backups or jams by line of sight and control screens in ICW, RDM and video monitors (address or make call out)

+ Maintain desired merchandise mix from flow, hotel and exception areas by adjusting conveyor run times as needed or directed

+ Use ladders, catwalks and fall protection harness and cable to address overhead jams

+ Reset conveyors and power panels when needed after events

+ Repair damaged cartons and return to conveyors

+ Inspect cartons for proper alignment before entering sorter

+ Remove area jams to minimize downtime of equipment

+ Communicate verbally production progress and area issues to Supervisor

+ Resolve problem issues – jams, equipment operation, damage

+ Maintain a clean work area, Adhere to 5-S standards. Other duties as assigned

**Pay Details:** $15.00 to $18.00 per hour
