    Description

    We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Seattle, Washington. This role involves handling a range of accounting tasks, including tax preparation, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and a commitment to accuracy in financial reporting.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare and file corporate tax returns in compliance with applicable regulations.

    • Manage sales tax reporting and ensure accurate calculations.

    • Record and review journal entries to maintain financial accuracy.

    • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure proper documentation.

    • Support month-end and year-end closing processes with thorough reviews.

    • Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.

    • Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and propose solutions.

    • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

    • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights.

    • Continuously monitor and improve accounting processes for efficiency.

    Salary Range:

    $35 to $38/hour (approx. $72,800 to $79,040 annually)

    Requirements • Proven experience in corporate tax preparation and filings.

     

    • Solid understanding of sales tax regulations and reporting.

    • Proficiency in managing journal entries and general ledger accounts.

    • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

    • Familiarity with accounting software and tools.

    • Knowledge of relevant accounting principles and practices.

    • Effective communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
