    **Job Summary:** The Certified Payroll Specialist is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and submitting certified payroll reports in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role does not involve processing company payroll, but focuses exclusively on certified payroll documentation and submission to appropriate government systems.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    + Prepare and submit certified payroll reports in accordance with Davis-Bacon Act and prevailing wage laws.

    + Ensure accurate reporting of hours, wages, classifications, and fringe benefits for all applicable employees.

    + Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local certified payroll requirements.

    + Upload certified payroll reports into state and local government systems (e.g., DIR in California, LCPtracker).

    + Review subcontractor certified payroll submissions for accuracy and compliance.

    + Maintain organized records of certified payroll reports and related documentation.

    + Respond to audits and inquiries from regulatory agencies regarding certified payroll.

    + Coordinate with project managers and field supervisors to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

    + Stay current with changes in certified payroll laws and reporting requirements.

    + Wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) i.e. respiratory protection

    + Observing work locations for potential safety and health hazards

    + Adhering to safety, health, quality, and environmental directives

    Key Requirements, Education, and Experience:

    + High school diploma.

    + Minimum 1 years of experience in certified payroll reporting or related compliance role.

    + Preferred knowledge of Davis-Bacon Act, prevailing wage laws, and certified payroll regulations.

    + Experience with certified payroll systems such as LCPtracker, Elation Systems, or DIR portals.

    + Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

    + Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and document management systems.

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
