Description

Duties & Responsibilities:

+ Academic assignment - teaching in biochemistry courses within the Department of Physiology at KCOM and MOSDOH

+ Scholarly activity - develop and conduct a scientific research program or other scholarly work.

+ Professional service - contribute to the academic mission of the university.

+ Participate in the teaching mission of the Department of Physiology.

+ Perform independent, externally funded basic science research or other scholarly activity.

+ Contribute to the academic mission of the university through service to the college and university, and service to the profession through physiology or research-oriented organizations at the local, regional, and national/international level.

Requirements

Education & Experience:

+ PhD or related doctoral degree/DO/MD.

+ General knowledge in physiology for the purpose of teaching physiology to first and second-year medical and dental students.

+ Postdoctoral research experience, teaching experience required, physiology teaching experience in a medical/dental setting preferred, experience with budgets, basic computer experience, technical experience necessary to conduct research/scholarly program.
