Job Description summary:
Responsible for overseeing and directing all security operations for Tioga Downs Casino Resort and Vernon Downs Casino and Hotel. Ensures the protection of company assets, Associates, guests, and information by developing, implementing, and reinforcing security strategies, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance with local, state, federal and Gaming regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
+ Ensures all staff comply with company and departmental policies, procedures, and standards.
+ Develop operating and capital budgets and manage departmental resources within approved guidelines.
+ Represents the company in a professional and courteous manner when interacting with guests, associates, and external partners.
+ Provides leadership and guidance to team members through coaching, mentoring, and oversight.
+ Ensure proper implementation of departmental and company procedures while overseeing training, scheduling, and performance of Security Officers and Security Management.
+ Conducts property patrols to identify and report potential safety or security hazards, ensuring the protection of guests, associates, and facilities on and off property (Day Care and Golf Course).
+ Supports Security Officers by filling in as needed and contributing to the daily management of the Security Department.
+ Maintains accurate and thorough documentation, updates procedure manuals, and ensures the timely preparation of statistical and departmental reports.
+ Maintains current knowledge of company facilities, operations, and special events to effectively support associates and provide accurate information to guests.
+ Recommends, develops and/or improves policies, procedures and operations to enhance security and efficiency.
+ Coordinates Valet, EMT Services, Traffic Control Services and State Police Communication.
+ Promotes and ensures the highest level of guest service and satisfaction across the property.
+ Facilitates communication by actively participating in departmental and interdepartmental meetings.
+ Ensures accuracy, accountability, and compliance in all departmental records, reports, and processes.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervises all Security Officers, Shuttle Drives and Security Management.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training associates, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining associates, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Business Administration, or a related field required. Minimum of five years of progressive security management experience, including at least three years in a security leadership role within a casino environment.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When on the project floor, the noise level increases to loud.
WILLINGNESS AND ABILITY TO TRAVEL:
This position requires travel between Tioga Downs Casino Resort and Vernon Downs Casino and Hotel.
