    About the Role:

    We are looking for a freelance,Social Media Community Expertto join our team and drive real-time engagement across our social media platforms. As the voice of the brand, you-ll interact with our audience daily, manage community conversations, and ensure Kate Somerville remains a top skincare brand in the social space.

     

    Beyond engaging with our existing community, this role will also focus on proactively tapping into new audiences by strategically engaging in relevant beauty, wellness, fashion, lifestyle, and trending conversations. You will identify opportunities to expand brand reach, engage with potential new customers, and convert them into lifelong brand advocates.

     

    This role is remote and starts at 20 hours per month, with potential for increased hours based on performance and brand needs. The ideal candidate is passionate about skincare, highly engaged in social trends, and skilled at building social communities with loyalty through meaningful digital interactions.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Community Engagement & Growth

     

    + Actively engage with our social media community in real time across Instagram, TikTok, and more.

    + Respond to comments, DMs, and mentions in a timely, on-brand, and engaging manner.

    + Build relationships with customers, influencers, and brand fans to foster brand love and loyalty.

    + Identify and track user-generated content (UGC) for potential brand features.

    + Proactively engage in relevant skincare, beauty, and lifestyle conversations outside of our owned channels to introduce the brand to new audiences.

    + Engage with like-minded brands, influencers, and trending topics to organically increase brand visibility and potential new user acquisition.

    + Partner with marketing teams to provide accurate and helpful skincare responses .

    + Escalate any community concerns or potential brand risks in a timely and strategic manner.

    + Ensure responses align with brand voice, tone, and values.

     

    Real-Time Engagement & Trend Spotting

     

    + Stay ahead of viral trends, pop culture, and beauty conversations to maximize brand visibility.

    + Monitor competitor conversations and industry buzz to identify engagement opportunities.

    + Provide real-time insights on what-s resonating with our audience and social trends worth tapping into.

    What You-ll Bring:

    + 1-2 years of experience in social media, community management, or digital marketing, ideally in beauty, skincare, or lifestyle brands.

    + Deep knowledge of social media trends, beauty culture, and skincare conversations.

    + Strong copywriting and brand voice skills, with the ability to adapt tone based on context.

    + A pulse on TikTok, Instagram, and emerging platforms-you-re always in the know.

    + Ability to multitask and manage real-time interactions across multiple platforms.

    + A data-driven mindset with the ability to track engagement trends and report on community sentiment.

    + Must be able to work PST time zones, regardless of location.

     

    The expected pay range for this position is $20 to $25/hour. The exact hourly rate is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget.

     

    This is a freelance, remote part-time position and starts at 20 hours per month, with potential for increased hours based on performance and brand needs
