Nurse Manager – Long-Term Care

Huntington Living Center – Waterloo, NY

At Huntington Living Center, we know that excellent care begins with excellent leadership. We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and skilled Nurse Manager to join our team and guide nursing staff in providing exceptional care to our residents.

As a Nurse Manager, you will have the rewarding responsibility of supervising and mentoring our care team, ensuring the highest standards of clinical excellence, and fostering a culture of teamwork, respect, and compassion.

Who You’ll Supervise:

CNA Trainees, CNAs, Senior CNAs, LPNs, RNs, and Unit Clerks.

What You’ll Do:

+ Lead, support, and inspire your team to deliver resident-centered care.

+ Collaborate with physicians, families, and healthcare partners to ensure positive outcomes.

+ Oversee departmental operations, staffing, and compliance with DOH requirements.

+ Promote a healing environment where dignity, safety, and well-being are at the center of all we do.

What We’re Looking For:

+ Education:

+ Minimum: Graduate of an accredited Registered Professional Nurse program.

+ Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), Master’s in Nursing, or related field.

+ Licensure/Certification:

+ Current NYS License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse.

+ Experience:

+ Minimum: 2 years of nursing or long-term care experience.

+ Minimum: 2 years of Management/Supervisory Experience

+ Skills & Competencies:

+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with staff, residents, families, and physicians.

+ Knowledge of management systems, departmental planning, and evaluation.

+ Ability to lead, motivate, and model teamwork.

+ Skilled in project management, time management, and meeting multiple priorities under pressure.

+ Familiarity with DOH requirements.

+ Computer literacy required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with Meditech preferred.
