CTG is seeking to fill an Application Developer – Java & Web Technologies opening for our client in Phoenix, AZ.

**Location:** Phoenix, AZ

**Duration:** 12 months

Duties:

+ Design, develop, and support enterprise applications using the Java/JEE technology stack.

+ Build web-based solutions utilizing Java frameworks and languages such as Ruby or Groovy.

+ Implement enterprise-level features including transaction management, Java object management, and system integration.

+ Apply advanced programming principles such as dependency injection, inversion of control, aspect-oriented programming, functional programming, and test-driven development.

+ Utilize data access frameworks, transaction management frameworks, and batch processing capabilities.

+ Contribute to application performance optimization, scalability, and security.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile/DevOps environments to deliver high-quality software.

+ Support continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), and production operations.

Skills:

+ Strong expertise with **Java, Spring, and Spring Boot** .

+ Proficiency in **REST Web Services, GraphQL, API management (Apigee), and Apache Camel** .

+ Hands-on experience with **Apache Kafka, Couchbase, NoSQL, Oracle, Redis, Hadoop/HDFS, and HBase** .

+ Knowledge of **DB Architecture & Design** principles.

+ Familiarity with **CI/CD tools** such as Jenkins, Maven, Git (GitHub, GitLab, BitBucket, SVN).

+ Containerization and orchestration with **Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift** .

+ Application monitoring and performance testing with **Dynatrace, Jmeter, JUnit, and Postman** .

+ Proficiency with **Shell scripting, Unix scripting, and ServiceNow integration** .

+ Experience with **Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles** .

Experience:

+ 5+ years of experience developing applications with Java/JEE and related web technologies.

+ Proven background in enterprise application development and systems integration.

+ Experience implementing DevOps practices and supporting CI/CD pipelines.

+ Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in dynamic, collaborative environments.

Education:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
