+ Engage in the design and prototyping of novel medical devices and assemblies.

+ Support benchtop testing, data collection, and analysis of prototype devices through the design of custom fixturing and test protocol development.

+ Prepare and maintain engineering documentation (drawings, design history, test records).

+ Collaborate with the engineering team to incorporate surgeon and clinician feedback into designs.

+ Contribute creatively to problem-solving sessions and design brainstorming.

+ Learn and apply FDA/ISO medical device standards and design control practices with mentorship from senior engineers.

    Qualifications

+ B.S. in Biomedical, Mechanical, or related Engineering field (or equivalent experience).

+ Hands-on prototyping or lab experience (e.g., 3D printing, machining, electronics, CAD modeling).

+ Strong foundation in engineering principles and an eagerness to learn medical device design.

+ Proficiency in SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar CAD software (coursework or project experience is acceptable).

+ Familiarity with finite element analyses (or a willingness to learn).

+ Experience interfacing with metrology equipment such as load cells, servo motors, etc.

+ Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.

+ Strong communication skills and ability to work in a small, fast-paced startup team.

+ Note: We don’t expect you to know everything on day one — we’re looking for curiosity, initiative, and the ability to learn quickly in a collaborative environment.

Bonus Skills (not required, but a plus)

+ Exposure to medical devices, surgical robotics, or biomechanics.

+ Interest in learning design controls (ISO 13485, FDA QSR) and risk analysis (FMEA).

+ Programming or data analysis skills (Python, MATLAB, Arduino, LabVIEW).

+ Coursework or projects in biomechanics, biomaterials, or robotics.

    Why Join Us

+ Be part of a small, passionate team where your work has immediate impact.

+ Gain broad, hands-on experience across medical device design, prototyping, and testing.

+ Collaborate with clinicians, researchers, and engineers at the cutting edge of endoscopic technology.

+ Competitive salary, benefits, and opportunities for career growth in a rapidly scaling company.

_The pay range for this position is $65,000-80,000 Annual (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation._
