    Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) – $50/hr | Full-Time | Multi-Campus | La Mesa, CA | 2025–2026 School Year

     

    Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a full-time Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) to support students across K–12 grade levels in La Mesa, CA for the 2025–2026 school year. This in-person role begins September 17, 2025, and runs for 9 months, with services delivered across multiple campuses based on student needs.

    Position Details:

    + Location: La Mesa, CA (multi-campus travel required)

    + Start Date: September 17, 2025

    + Duration: 9 months

    + Schedule: Monday–Friday

    + Hours: 40/week

    + Modality: In-person

    + Interview Format: Virtual interview with District Vision Department

    + Pay Rate: $50/hour

    Caseload Overview:

    + Approximately 6 direct (higher-need) and 10 indirect (consult-level) students

    + Caseload may fluctuate based on annual student needs

    + Travel between campuses required

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Deliver individualized instruction and support for visually impaired students

    + Develop and implement instructional programs that foster social, emotional, and academic growth

    + Collaborate with general education staff and support teams

    + Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines

    Minimum Requirements:

    + Valid TVI certification

    + Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred)

    + One year of experience as a TVI (preferred)

    + CPR certification, TB clearance, and health certificate as applicable

    + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

    + Must be at least 18 years of age
