    GE Healthcare is seeking a highly motivated NPI Materials Project Leader to support the introduction of new products and drive materials strategy across our detectors production lines. This role will lead wing-to-wing materials management—from planning, receiving and storage to manufacturing execution—while coordinating closely with Engineering, Sourcing, and Operations. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in materials planning, and engineering change management, along with a strong track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives. This position also supports planning and execution for existing products and plays a key role in implementing scalable, efficient, and responsive supply chain processes.

    Job Description

    We are introducing new products into our detectors production lines and are seeking a dynamic **NPI Materials Project Leader** to drive wing-to-wing materials management processes. This role will be pivotal in coordinating with Engineering, Sourcing, and Manufacturing teams to ensure timely and efficient material planning and execution for both new and existing products.

    Responsibilities

    + Collaborate with Engineering and Sourcing to define and execute material plans for new product launches.

    + Set up end-to-end materials management processes from receiving, storage, and inventory control to manufacturing execution.

    + Implement and optimize Oracle GLPROD-based materials planning processes.

    + Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance material flow, reduce waste, and improve inventory accuracy.

    + Lead planning and execution of materials for existing product lines.

    + Coordinate with Engineering to manage and execute Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).

    + Ensure timely updates to material plans and inventory systems in response to design changes.

    + Define and implement best practices for materials management across the facility, including the use of Kinaxis Maestro for materials planning.

    + Develop KPIs and reporting tools to monitor performance and drive accountability.

    + Act as the primary liaison between Engineering, Sourcing, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams for detectors new product introductions.

    + Support cross-functional initiatives to improve lead times, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.

    Required Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.

    + 2+ years of experience in materials planning, supply chain, or manufacturing operations.

    + Strong oral and written communication skills.

    + Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.

    + Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.

    Desired Characteristics

    + Strong understanding of Oracle ERP, Materials planning, and Engineering changes modules.

    + Understanding of BOM structures, routings, and manufacturing process flows.

    + Proven ability to identify bottlenecks and drive process improvements across receiving, storage, and production.

    + Demonstrated success in designing and implementing wing-to-wing materials management processes.

    + Lean or Six Sigma certification is a plus.
