Job Responsibilities:

+ Drive the Zamboni and execute ice cuts throughout the evening/weekend and maintain quality ice conditions. Conduct general rink maintenance and upkeep as required.

+ Supervise rink student staff on weekday evenings, weekends, and/or special events

+ Facilitate daily ice rentals for R.I.T. and non R.I.T individuals and groups.

+ Other duties as needed

Job Summary:

_Please note-this position requires ability to work nights/weekends depending on athletics/events scheduled._

This position is responsible for maintaining a quality ice surface and supervising the student ice crew for the Gene Polisseni Center in the evenings or weekends. This person will have direct hands-on responsibility for ice maintenance including: operating equipment (including Zamboni); ice preparation for all activities; maintenance of the Zamboni, dashers, glass, and team bench areas. During the off-season responsibilities will change to building maintenance including painting locker rooms and hallways, buffing and polishing acrylic shielding, as well other repairs to the facility. Off-season will also change to daytime hours.
