    Overview

     

    Intelligent Waves is seeking an **EGIS System Administrator** to support the development and administration of ArcGIS Portal. This role is responsible for building, configuring, and sustaining ArcGIS and Portal servers, as well as designing, developing, and implementing new integrated geospatial capabilities. The Administrator will regularly collaborate with customers to gather portal requirements, resolve application and user issues, and ensure the overall health and performance of the ArcGIS environment.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform system development and integration for Windows Servers

    + Execute SDE connection integrations

    + Develop and integrate ArcGIS Enterprise solutions

    + Conduct ArcGIS Portal and Server administration

    + Administer and manage proxy servers

    + Work independently to achieve daily objectives with significant impact on operational results and project deliverables

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree with 6–8 years, or Master’s degree with 4–6 years, of experience in geospatial sciences, ArcGIS administration, or a related field.

    + 2–3 years of software development experience with ArcGIS API for Python and REST APIs.

    + 2–3+ years of experience administering Windows Server environments.

    + 2–3 years of experience with web server management and implementation, including troubleshooting websites, applications, and security integrations.

    + Demonstrated experience working with relational databases.

    + Knowledge of proxy server administration.

    + Understanding of virtualized infrastructure, server backup and restoration procedures, and application of STIGs and cyber hardening practices.

    + Strong ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

    Desired Qualifications:

    + Previous ESRI Portal experience, including creating and maintaining ESRI Web Maps/Applications and maintaining ESRI Portal in an enterprise environment

    + Previous ESRI server experience and GeoEvent capabilities

    + Previous ESRI ArcGIS experience in ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Desktop; developing, writing, and maintaining Python workflows; and creating and maintaining new GIS data layers and geodatabases

    + Experience with ESRI applications like Dashboard, Experience Builder, Knowledge, Survey 123, Engine

    + Experience with daily and weekly system backups

    + Basic experience with logs analysis
