We're seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead the Digital Architecture Organization's Data Collection Software Team at BAE Systems. As a key member of our leadership team, you'll oversee the development of mission-critical data collection software solutions for Next Generation Electronic Warfare Systems Products and Solutions. Responsibilities:
+ Lead a team of software engineers in designing, developing, and testing data collection software solutions for Next Generation Electronic Warfare Systems Products and Solutions
+ Develop and execute development strategies, plans, and processes to ensure high-quality products and solutions
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Systems, Hardware, and Operations Engineers, to ensure alignment and integration of software solutions
+ Mentor and develop team members to achieve their full potential and advance in their careers
+ Manage software development projects, including budgeting, resource allocation, and timeline management
+ Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies
+ Foster a culture of transparency, ensuring that all team members have visibility into project goals, objectives, and outcomes
+ Promote accountability, holding team members responsible for their actions and decisions
+ Ensure that all software development activities are properly documented and archived, upholding the principle of posterity
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
+ Education: Bachelor's Degree
+ Experience: 10 years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years of experience in a leadership or management role
+ Programming Languages: Experienced in C# and/or Python
+ Technical Skills:
+ Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming
+ Strong Technical Communication
+ Soft Skills:
+ Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
+ Ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve high-performance results
+ Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Experience with:
+ Automated Test and Measurement Software Development
+ Factory production test stands, problem isolation, and resolution
+ Debug skills
+ Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment
+ Unit Under Test (UUT) emulation and simulation
+ Unit Test Driven Software Design
+ Familiarity with Agile development methodologies

+ Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including engineering teams, product managers, and customers

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $130355 - $221603
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
