    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Effective Date: 09/25

    I. JOB SUMMARY:

    • Responsible for the management and coordination of activities and functions of the Departmental Information System (DIS) activities that support Patient Access and Revenue Cycle Operations.

    • Ensures systems and workflows enhance operational efficiency, data integrity, and compliance.

    • Plays a key role in reporting, system upgrades, staff training, and work queue oversight, with a strong focus on Excel-based data analysis and error management.

    II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    A. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Seeing. Hearing. Speaking. Finger dexterity.

    B. MANUAL MATERIAL HANDLING:

    • Infrequent: N/A

    III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

    • Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.

    IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    A. EDUCATION:

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, healthcare administration or related field; or five (5) years of relevant experience may substituted for the educational requirement.

    B. CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:

    • No certification and/or licensure requirement.

    C. EXPERIENCE:

    • In addition to educational requirement, two (2) years work experience in healthcare systems coordination with a focus on ADT workflows.

    • Experience with Epic EHR, specifically Cadence, Prelude, and Grand Centra modules preferred.

    • Experience in Patient Access and Revenue Cycle operations preferred.

    • Knowledge in various database computer languages (relational databases), HTML/XML, Java and web maintenance.

    • Familiarity with hospital systems and clinical operations.

    • Experience with software/mainframe applications and networking.

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and automated systems.

    • Experience managing work queues and resolving system/process errors.
