    Job Description

    We are seeking a highly skilled and security-focused Software Engineer to join our team and lead the development of application security enhancements, that reinforces the security posture of our applications and developer environments. In this role, you will work closely with engineering, security, and infrastructure teams to design, implement, and operationalize robust security controls and automation across our organization. You will play a key role in building and integrating systems that ensure our development lifecycle and runtime environments adhere to industry best practices across a range of security domains, including GitHub EMU (Enterprise Managed Users), endpoint hardening, phishing-resistant multi-factor authentication (MFA), endpoint telemetry, secrets management, and perimeter defense with Web Application Firewalls.

     

    This role requires a strong foundation in software engineering and deep familiarity with modern security architectures, cloud-native environments, and developer tooling. This is a contract role and offers $54-64/hr. depending on experience.

    Skills and Requirements

    5+ years of experience in Java 11+, Spring Framework and Spring Boot Framework

    Deep expertise in GitHyb EMU and GitHub Advance Security (GHAS). Prior EMU migration experience and familiarity with SCIM, SAML, OIDC for identity management.

     

    Strong experience with Docker. Create and build docker images as well as deployment of the images in Cloud infrastructure.

     

    Expertise in vulnerability remediation in docker images.

     

    Secure authentication for dev tooling (e.g., GitHub, cloud CLIs, CI/CD tools)

     

    Familiarity with secure SDLC and vulnerability remediation.

     

    Experience using static code analysis tools

     

    Expertise with valid phishing resistant MFA authentication methods such as Hello for Business, Fido 2/Yubikeys, Authenticators with Passkeys, mTLS

     

    Experience with web application firewalls
