    Aerospace Carbon Solutions is accelerating more-sustainable growth within aviation by incubating and scaling a broad spectrum of outside-the-engine breakthrough technologies. Our mission is to empower airlines to better manage their emissions and the associated costs through innovative tools and solutions.

     

    We are seeking a motivated and creative Frontend Engineering Co-op to join our team and contribute to the development of the user interface for one of our external-facing web applications. This role will focus on creating intuitive and visually appealing user experiences using the Vue.js framework. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for UX design and frontend development, with the ability to translate complex requirements into seamless user interactions. Our team enjoys working in a fast-paced, fun environment.

    Job Description

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Design, develop, and maintain the frontend of our web application using Vue.js.

    + Collaborate with the Director of Product Management and other stakeholders to understand customer needs and translate them into actionable UI/UX designs.

    + Ensure the web application is visually appealing, user-friendly, and provides meaningful interactions for end users.

    + Conduct user research and usability testing to refine designs and improve user experience.

    + Provide creative input and innovative ideas to enhance the functionality and aesthetics of the web application.

    + Assist in optimizing frontend performance and ensuring cross-browser compatibility.

    + Work independently while maintaining open communication with the team to ensure alignment with project goals.

    Required Qualifications:

    + Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or related field.

    + Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA off a 4.0 scale without rounding.

    + Solid understanding of Vue.js through work or research.

    + Strong skills in UX design and frontend development.

    + Ability to design interfaces that are both functional and visually appealing.

    + Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

    Eligibility Requirements:

    Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Familiarity with physics and/or aerospace engineering.

    + Interest or experience in data visualization and analytics.

    + Experience with usability testing and user research methodologies.

    + A "can-do" attitude and willingness to take initiative.

    Benefits:

    Pay rates for this position begin at $20/hour and increase for each undergraduate year completed.
