• Software Maintenance Lead

    Description

    Leidos is looking for a Software Maintenance Lead to join our team to provide software maintenance and engineering support to our customer. This position will manage four software maintenance teams made up of developers, systems administrators, and testers tasked to deliver the next generation of Geospatial Intelligence technologies to our customer. A successful candidate will have experience with Agile methodologies and the various tools necessary to run agile teams, as well as the ability to participate in release planning events, daily scrums, and other technical discussions as needed. The effort will harness GOTS, COTS and Custom technologies to deliver advanced production and dissemination capabilities using desktop, web and cloud technologies.

    Primary Responsibilities

    + Drive product delivery through keen understanding of the customer, mission, and product requirements

    + Develop the team roadmap and support the team as needed to deliver on commitments

    + Plan and prioritize epics, features, stories, and bugs

    + Proven ability to write technical tasks with business value for the customer

    + Help define, document, and track the completion of Epics, Stories, Tasks, and Bugs

    + Communicate with other Product owners and scrum masters, program leadership, customers, and development teams

    + Support agile meetings such as daily scrum, retrospectives, and program increment planning

    Basic Qualifications

    + Requires BS degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience; OR 4 years of related experience in lieu of degree

    + Must possess an active Top Secret Security Clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI with Polygraph post hire.

    + Must be a U.S. Citizen

    + Thorough understanding of the following interfaces and formats: standard web services protocols (e.g., SOAP, REST, and OGC), NiFi, Tomcat, Python and ML. A minimum 3 years of experience with modern JavaScript development framework.

    + Experience working with different ML models, such as Convolutional neural network, Natural language, Computer vision, object detection and classification, text parsing algorithms.

    + Demonstrated understanding of Amazon Web Services (AWS), Ground Truth.

    + Experience with delivery of a software maintenance solution using Agile software delivery techniques.

    + Experience in integrating software, COTs, GOTS, FOSS, and capabilities into a baseline and making them an operational whole.

    + Experience with proprietary and open source GIS applications and database services such as OpenGeo, ArcGIS Server, PostGIS and PostgreSQL, Oracle Spatial.

    + Thorough understanding of the following program languages and systems (at a minimum): JAVA, PHP, JBOSS, Tomcat, Linux, Windows, Arcpy.

    + Thorough understanding of integrating systems, databases of varying architecture.

    + Experience with integrating security components with applications and databases.

    + OpenLayers/Google Maps/ArcGIS APIs

    + Familiarity with Configuration Management and Request for Change process for review and assessment.

    + CompTIA Security+ Certification or equivalent

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Understanding of AWS/Cloud technologies

    + Proven experience managing multiple baselines across multiple environments

    + Experience with collaboration tools including Jira/Confluence and Rocketchat

    + Experience with ArcGIS or geospatial technologies

    + Experience with DevSecOps best practices and technology including Gitlab CI/CD

    + Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Cloud Formation, Chef, Ansible

    Pay Range:

    Pay Range $126,100.00 - $227,950.00
