    **Shift:** Core hours: 9 AM – 3 PM (must be available during these). Flexible outside of core: e.g., 7–4 or 8–5 acceptable.

     

    Off-hours: ~1–2 times per month, heavier during budget cycles or leadership meetings (couple times per quarter).

    Description:

    This is a flexible position, so living in the general area is helpful if they need to come to the site. If there is a candidate with experience but they are not local, we will evaluate against local candidates

     

    The Thousand Oaks Quality Control organization supports the manufacture of products by testing in-process, release, and stability samples. The QC organization also supports the broader network as needed. In addition to testing, the organization supports the templating and logging of information into our Laboratory Information Management System (SM LIMS) and the use of the Laboratory Method Execution system (LMES), this also includes other quality systems used to manage our information and processes (deviations, change control, etc).

     

    + This Role will be supporting the QC organization in generating metrics, supporting QC ‘s existing dashboards and data collection tools.

    + This role will also support the Sample Management team with LIMS templating, issue Resolution and other tasks as needed for the organization.

    + The preferred candidate must possess the skills to clearly capture and articulate the client’s processes, partner with the client to identify process improvement, and translate strategies into information solutions. Role varies between client focused and application focused.

    + This position will work in a team environment, collaborating with various colleagues in the client’s network to ensure tasks and project commitments are met.

     

    The ideal candidate is an analytically driven professional with strong laboratory knowledge who thrives outside the lab environment. They must bring expert-level Excel skills and SQL query experience, paired with working proficiency in tools such as Tableau or Databricks. A background in QC laboratory processes (bioassay, HPLC, microbiology) is strongly preferred to bridge the gap between raw data and business insights. This individual should demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness, and adaptability, comfortable reaching across teams, prioritizing multiple requests, and supporting all QC functions through dashboards, metrics, and workforce planning models. They must be flexible with occasional off-hours work and capable of working in a hybrid/flex environment, with some on-site presence to ensure integration and business familiarity.

    Top must have skills:

    + Intermediate to Expert level working knowledge of Excel required (pivot tables/charts, lookups, connection to data sources, some VBA)

    + Three or more (3+) years SQL experience strongly preferred (Oracle, DataBricks)

    + Intermediate or better level proficiency in Office 365 applications in general

    + Smartsheet experience preferred (building reports/dashboards, workflows, DataMesh)

    + SharePoint experience preferred (developing site pages, site administration, Power Automate)

    + Tableau experience preferred (building reports/dashboards, Data Prep flows, site administration)

    + Tibco Spotfire experience preferred

    Examples of the daily functions:

    + Metrics support and leading internal business reviews

    + Data queries

    + Creation of business performance tools

    + LIMS support which may include sample resolution, templating updates, result entry, etc.

    + Sample Coordination support between QC and customers

    + Operational Excellence
