About the Role:
As a CBRE General Manager, you will be responsible for supervising the team responsible for all operational and financial activities of large portfolios of properties.
The role is onsite in Brooklyn, NY USA.
Candidates must have prior experience managing a Class A office building in New York City, with a strong understanding of local operational standards and compliance requirements. Experience working with City agencies is strongly preferred, including direct oversight of high-profile corporate occupancies and service delivery expectations.
What You’ll Do:
+ Respond to high profile tenant needs and issues.
+ Act as primary contact with property owners, serving as owner representative to ensure that objectives are being met. Prepare and deliver timely, accurate and complete reports.
+ Develop and control annual budgets for large operating and capital expenses. Forecast complex management plans and prepare monthly performance reports, explaining variances.
+ Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
+ Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
+ Help create advanced programs that will assist the property with emergency recoveries.
+ Prepare and approve all required legal notices. Recommend and coordinate legal action as necessary.
+ Review tenant rent and common area maintenance recovery charges to ensure payment is on time.

+ Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5 - 8 years of **relevant commercial Class-A real estate experience in New York City.** In lieu of a degree, a combination of commercial real estate experience and education will be considered.
+ Active real estate license is required.
+ Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
+ Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job discipline, multiple job disciplines, and department.
+ In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
+ Extensive organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the General Manager is $200,000/year and the maximum salary is $239,000/year. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401k, dental insurance, health insurance, life insurance, and vision insurance.
