    Course of Study

     

    Pursing a Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Automotive Technology Management or Automotive Studies

     

    Term

     

    + Summer (10 weeks) [37.5 hours per week]

    + Internship to begin June 1, 2026 and end August 7, 2026

    + Location – Subaru Headquarters, One Subaru Drive, Camden, NJ 08103 (Philadelphia Area)

    + $20 an hour (undergrad)

    Qualifications

    + Current Juniors in Bachelor’s Program

    + Must be an active student for the entire length of internship

    + At least 1 year of work experience

     

    Skills

     

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with all levels of the organization

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

    + Able to work in a team environment

    + Passionate about automotive

    Summary

    During the 10-week rotation, students will be given practical experience and an overview on the operations of the Fixed Operations-Parts Department, Service-Operations Department, and the Eastern Region-Parts & Service Department.

     

    Fixed Operations will consist of aftersales that support the 3 pillars: Customer Satisfaction, Service Owner Retention, and Retailer Revenue Generation. Students will have the opportunity to meet and learn from Parts and Accessories team managers about the tools, systems, and strategies used to provide a quality customer-retailer relationship throughout the life of a vehicle.

     

    Eastern Region-Parts & Service will include learning and understanding of Distribution on the allocation process and other regional needs; Market Development on the appointment process and a Subaru financial statement; Regional Marketing on what separates Subaru Retailers from being a dealer.

     

    Service-Operations includes learning about the onsite Service Engineering Center and the Retailer Claims process with how to maximize customer retention and Retailers’ services.

     

    Students will have an opportunity to visit a Subaru Retailer and Regional Distribution Center.
