Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
+ General handyman and repair abilities (fences, electrical, plumbing, ranch vehicles and equipment, etc.)
+ Maintain equipment including oil changes and basic maintenance needed to keep equipment in working order.
+ Assist with purchasing supplies and equipment
+ Assist in coordinating and assigning daily work schedules for student interns.
+ Assist with work on various projects improving the property.
+ Maintenance of roads, landscaping, and fencing
+ Drive tractors with farm implements, and trucks with trailers
+ Welding and use of other shop equipment
+ Other duties as required
Required Education and Experience:
+ -High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ -Two years of related experience working on ranch/cattle operation.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
+ Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
+ Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
+ Work both independently and as part of a team.
+ Proactive in solving problems and bringing issues/concerns to Ranch Operations Managers’ attention.
+ Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
+ Ability to lift/move at least 50 lbs.
+ Ability to safely and responsibly operate ranch equipment.
+ Ability to multi task and work cooperatively with others.
Preferred licenses/certifications:
+ Valid driver’s license.
