Description

We are looking for an experienced Paralegal to join our team on a contract basis in Avon, Connecticut. In this role, you will provide vital legal support to multiple partners, focusing on workers' compensation cases. This position requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure the smooth execution of legal processes.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain calendars for 4-5 partners to ensure timely scheduling of meetings and deadlines.

• Assist in trial preparation, including drafting legal documents, organizing presentations, and preparing case files.

• Handle correspondence with clients, opposing counsel, and other legal entities in a meticulous and timely manner.

• Prepare and organize workers' compensation case files, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.

• Coordinate meetings and appointments, ensuring all required materials are prepared and available.

• Conduct legal research and compile relevant information to support case strategies.

• Support attorneys during trials by managing documentation and providing logistical assistance.

• Oversee administrative tasks such as file management and document organization to support daily operations.

Requirements • Proven experience as a Paralegal, preferably with a focus on workers' compensation law.

• Strong skills in calendar management and scheduling for multiple stakeholders.

• Familiarity with trial preparation processes, including document drafting and presentation creation.

• Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and legal professionals.

• Proficiency in managing legal files and documents with attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Solid understanding of legal terminology and procedures.

• Bachelor's degree or Paralegal certification preferred.
