    Inspired by the relaxed elegance of coastal Italy, Bar Sprezzatura is an aperitivo and cicchetti bar in the heart of San Francisco’s Financial District. In partnership with notable mixologist Carlo Splendorini, this new concept showcases Splendorini’s creative twist on the Italian classics as well as a variety of small plates including shellfish, crudo, tins, fritti, and focaccia. Designed by Martin Brudnizki, Bar Sprezzatura is the ideal gathering place for friends and colleagues alike and will be open Monday - Friday at One Maritime Plaza.

    POSITION OVERVIEW: The Food Runner is responsible for overseeing table maintenance, maintaining the flow of service and assisting the servers in the dining room.  Duties include: delivering food to tables, describing the dishes to guests, performing tableside service, monitoring guest satisfaction and assisting the kitchen in expediting the service process. Must be pleasant, conscientious and professional with excellent knowledge of food and alcoholic beverage selections. Must be able to operate effectively as part of a team, communicate clearly, ensure smooth service operations and quality service.

You have amazing attention to detail, work well as part of a team, and work well under pressure. You have a strong desire to learn and be a leader among your peers.

    What you bring to the table:

    + 1-3 years’ experience in a fine dining or casual fine dining high volume atmosphere

    + Exceptional communication skills

    + Strong food knowledge

    + Ability to learn and retain information quickly

    + Intellectual curiosity

    + Ability to work clean, organized, and as part of a team

    + Ability to move and lift 40 pounds at a time

    + At least 16 years of age

    + Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period of time
