    Job Summary

    This is an intern level position providing engineering support in designated company area, or specific engineering discipline. Performs engineering calculations, analysis, research and design. Under direction of supervisor or work leader, performs routine assignments designed to develop professional engineering work knowledge, gain familiarity with techniques, approaches, practices and the nature of engineering systems, equipment, etc. and to develop the ability to apply fundamental engineering principles and techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out sequence of related engineering tasks. Limited exercise of judgment is required on details of work and in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives.

     

    Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

    The knowledge, skills, abilities and experience required for entry into this job include the following:

    Basic knowledge of engineering concepts, fundamentals and theory;

     

    Oral and written communication skills (includes technical writing);

     

    Effective decision making skills;

     

    Computer skills and application of software programs;

     

    Analytical and abstract thinking skills;

     

    Problem solving skills;

     

    Ability to learn to apply engineering theories and concepts to complex problems;

     

    Ability to work within a team environment.

    Education Requirements

    Must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university.

     

    Must have a graduation date of Spring 2027 or later.

     

    Must have a GPA of 2.5 or greater.
