    Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator ll for 2nd Shift Fabrication in Asheville. This role involves using high-tech equipment such as press brakes and fiber optic lasers, offering a chance to refine your skills in a cooperative atmosphere.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate and upkeep fabrication machinery like press brakes, fiber optic lasers, and turret punches.

    + Analyze and interpret blueprints to guarantee seamless production of components.

    + Accurately use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, protractors, and squares to establish exact measurements.

    + Strictly adhere to safety protocols and procedures.

    + Willingly cross-train on all machines in the shop to support team versatility.

    + Be willing to work extra hours as needed to achieve production targets and meet deadlines.

    Requirements

    + Demonstrated expertise in running press brakes, fiber optic lasers, and turret punches is a plus.

    + Skill in comprehending and analyzing blueprints.

    + Understanding how to operate measuring tools including tape measures, calipers, protractors, and squares.

    + Strong attention to detail and dedication to producing high-quality work.

    + Being open to working additional hours when necessary to meet manufacturing requirements.

    + Ambitious and collaborative approach to successfully implement production processes.
