Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY

The Manager - Rehabilitation Services is responsible for the day‐to‐day operations for assigned area(s) and serves as a liaison between therapists, administration, staff and patients. This individual develops and manages various budgets, identifies and resolves matters to promote a safe and quality patient care environment, implements continuous process improvement and manages the performance and development of staff. The Manager - Rehabilitation Services assists administrators and leadership to define and execute strategic initiatives within their assigned area(s) and works with providers to maintain a clinical service delivery system that meets the clinical and financial objectives of the organization.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

_For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation._

**Minimum Required:** Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, **or** Speech and Language Pathology **or** Athletic Training **or** Therapeutic Recreation.

**Preferred/Optional** **:** Bachelor Degree in a business, management, or a technical field related to the position.

EXPERIENCE

**Minimum Required:** Management or Leadership experience. Five years previous work experience rehab services.

**Preferred/Optional:** Management or Leadership experience in rehabilitative therapy services.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

_The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position._

**Minimum Required:** Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire in addition to one of the following based off degree held:

+ Occupational Therapist awarded by applicable State.

+ Physical Therapist awarded by applicable State.

+ Speech-Language Pathologist license awarded by applicable State.

+ Athletic Trainer by the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certifications and Licensed as an Athletic Trainer by applicable State.

+ Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) as awarded by the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC) if applicable.

**Preferred/Optional:** Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
