Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.
+ Use computer terminal to monitor, control, diagnose and repair the campus building automation systems
+ Maintain records of installation, maintenance, calibration and repair activities.
+ Working knowledge of HVAC Systems and various associated equipment, as well as Sequence of Operations.
+ Working knowledge of Chilled Water Production Systems and the various associated equipment .
+ Working knowledge of Hot Water Production Systems and the various associated equipment.
+ Capable of responding to building automation issues as needed, with minimal help from senior technicians.
+ Participation in regular rotation of on-call duties
+ Possess High School Diploma or GED .
+ Possess valid State Class “C” Drivers License and be a driver in good standing with less than ten (10) points deducted for driving infractions as determined by the employer driving standards system.
+ Knowledge of various computer software, including Microsoft Office Products.
+ Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
+ Ability to maintain current and accurate records of work performed.
+ Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
+ 2-5 years of experience working with Desigo CC.
+ Able to correct Programming Issues within various different programming methods ( PPCL , CFC , GCL , Ladder Logic, etc.)
+ Ability to read and interpret MEP Drawings and Controls Submittals from various Vendors.
Job Description
The BAS Controls Technician II is responsible for maintenance for all electronic control systems. Coordinates use of campus energy management system and designs control strategies consistent with energy policy.
Job Duties
+ Install, calibrate, and maintain campus wide building automation, security detection system.
+ Implement program changes and review resulting operations for efficiency and compliance.
+ Work with HVAC shop personnel to troubleshoot and repair building controls.
+ Integrate multi-vendor systems to provide seamless operation.
+ Link systems across multiple buildings.
+ Stage campus wide startup and shutdown of building automation systems.
+ Initiate and coordinate service repair of equipment through outside multi-vendor technical support.
+ Assist with maintenance of programs and application throughout utility plants, test, analyze and trouble shoot systems and applications.
+ Perform other duties as required.
Additional Information to Applicants
This position requires driving University vehicles.
Must be willing to be on call on a rotating basis with other shop personnel.
