Position Overview

Under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, the Special Education Teacher provides high-quality instruction and support to students in grades K–12 with diverse learning needs. This role focuses on self-contained classrooms using both adaptive and general curricula. The ideal candidate is collaborative, student-focused, and committed to inclusive education.

Key Responsibilities

+ Deliver specialized instruction aligned with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

+ Collaborate with general education staff to support student success

+ Provide tutorial assistance and consultation as needed

+ Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations

Minimum Requirements

+ ?? Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)

+ ????? Valid state teaching certificate (as required by state/district)

+ ?? Minimum of 1 year teaching experience (preferred)

+ ? Certifications (preferred):

+ Standard Elementary Teaching

+ Standard Secondary Teaching

+ Standard Special Teaching

+ Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) Endorsement

Classroom Focus
