    Special Education Teacher – $65/hr | Full-Time | Lansing, KS | 2025–2026 School Year

     

    Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher to support students in grades 2–12 across special education settings for the 2025–2026 school year. This in-person role begins October 6, 2025, and runs through May 2026, with campus placements determined through virtual interviews with school principals.

    Position Details:

    + Location: Lansing, KS

    + Start Date: October 6, 2025

    + End Date: May 2026

    + Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (report times vary by grade level)

    + Hours: 37/week

    + Modality: In-person

    + Pay Rate: $65/hour

    + Grade Levels: 2nd–12th

    + Support Structure: Collaboration with BTs, Paras, and therapy staff

    Responsibilities:

    + Deliver specialized instruction and support for students with academic and behavioral needs

    + Collaborate with general education staff and behavioral teams

    + Help implement behavior intervention plans within special education classrooms

    + Participate in planning and documentation aligned with district and state guidelines

    Minimum Requirements:

    + Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred)

    + Valid state teaching certificate (SPED required)

    + One year of teaching experience (preferred)

    + Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred

    + CPR certification, TB clearance, and health certificate as applicable

    + CPI and Amergiss CPT training (preferred)

    + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

    + Must be at least 18 years of age
