    Special Education Teacher – Early Childhood | $48/hr | Full-Time | Los Alamos, NM | 2025–2026 School Year

     

    Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher to support a Preschool SPED caseload at one of our elementary campuses for the 2025–2026 school year. This in-person role begins ASAP and runs through May 29, 2026, with interviews conducted on-site.

    Position Details:

    + Location: Elementary campus (specific site shared during interview)

    + Start Date: October 6, 2025 (or ASAP)

    + End Date: May 29, 2026

    + Schedule: Monday–Friday, ~7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

    + Hours: 37.5/week

    + Modality: On-site only

    + Pay Rate: $48/hour

    + Caseload: Preschool SPED

    + Support: Classroom support and 1:1 staff (details in interview)

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Deliver individualized instruction and support for early childhood special education students

    + Collaborate with general education staff and support teams

    + Participate in planning and implementation of student programs

    + Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines

    Minimum Requirements:

    + Valid SPED teaching license

    + Early Childhood license preferred

    + If no Early Childhood license, must have 2+ years of experience working with PreK SPED students

    + Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred)

    + CPR certification, TB clearance, and health certificate as applicable

    + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

    + Must be at least 18 years of age
