Position Overview

The Estimate Project Manager has overall responsibility for execution of estimates. This role will support the Power market, supporting a variety of such projects including Single/Combined Cycle Gas Plants, Hydrogen Generation, Carbon Capture, Solar, HVDC Converter Stations, Substations, and Transmission line projects.

District Overview

Kiewit Power Constructors (KPC) provides direct-hire construction services for Power Generation utilizing a union craft force.  Kiewit Power Constructors builds major EPC power plant projects throughout North America.

Location

This role is based at our office in Lenexa, KS.

Responsibilities

+ Assumed responsibility for winning the opportunity at the right price, and driving success of the pursuit

+ Develop strategic plan and estimate philosophy

+ Create execution plan for projects, including overall project level 1 schedule, staff schedules, equipment schedules

+ Drive cost from the Estimate

+ Manage the development of the final proposal and review final commercial documents

+ Review Final Clarifications and Exceptions

+ Reporting results of estimate to management

Qualifications

+ 10+ years experience in the Construction Industry, preferably industrial or power related markets

+ Experience in various construction roles on large industrial facilities, such as a Project Manager

+ Previous experience in estimating

+ Preferred proficiency in SharePoint, scheduling tools, and general technical aptitude.

+ Bachelors degree in related field
