As a Group Design Manager on the Industry Verticalization team, you will lead a team responsible for crafting industry-specific experiences that combine the power of QuickBooks' all-in-one platform with tailored solutions that meet the unique needs of businesses based on their size, industry, and stage of growth. This work gives customers access to workflows, insights, and capabilities that feel purpose-built for how they operate. This role requires an agile leader who is comfortable influencing across organizations, delivering high-quality designs, and developing a team in a highly collaborative environment.

What you'll bring

+ 12+ years of experience in Design, with 5+ years of management experience

+ Experience working on verticalized industry solutions strongly preferred

+ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, HCI, Human Factors, Design Strategy, or equivalent relevant experience

+ Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality design output through a team

+ Knowledge and experience in delivering product design deliverables such as design prototypes, documentation, design specs, assets (web and mobile), or similar

+ Strong business acumen and experience in managing multiple stakeholders and senior leadership expectations

+ Experience leading designers as a mentor, design lead, and manager

+ Excellent leadership, communication, project management, and organizational skills

How you will lead

+ Lead initiatives of significant scope, complexity, and responsibility in creative vision, strategy, and execution; with ability to operate as both player and coach

+ Deep understanding and balance of customer, business, and shareholders needs and cross-functional partnership, collaboration, and decision making

+ Strong communication (written, verbal, and visual), influence, and persuasion skills

+ Actively engage in the leadership triad (PM, Dev, Design) to guide strategic vision, drive alignment, and deliver with high quality

+ Drive outside-in, customer-centric thinking, doing, and building during the entire product process – from vision and exploration to narrowing and curation of every touchpoint to be excellent

+ Communicate design direction and intent with customer-backed and defensible principles and frameworks

Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Bay Area California $226,000- $305,000.
