    Job Overview

     

    As an Intern with our Strategy team, you will be responsible for the analysis and strategy on high priority projects as assigned by senior executive management within our NextEra Energy Transmission (NEET) group. This position works with a small cross-functional team to analyze, develop, and propose strategies or solutions to complex topics. Individuals rapidly identify key data, stakeholders, and the current landscape in order to effectively present ideas for executive review.

    Education, Experience, Skills

    + Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferably focused on Electrical Engineering

    + Strong customer education and communication skills

    + Excellent teamwork and project management capabilities

     

    Job Overview

     

    To be considered for an internship, you must be actively enrolled at a college or university as a full-time student seeking a bachelor’s degree or higher. You must also have a current cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher (on a 0.00 to 4.00 scale).

    Job Duties & Responsibilities

    + Assists department with assigned projects

    + Completes challenging projects and assignments

    + Presents final project to senior leadership at the end of the internship

    + Assumes responsibility for own travel, lodging, and transportation necessary to be available for the program

    + Performs other job-related duties as assigned

    Required Qualifications

    + High school grad / GED

    + Maintain active enrollment in a Bachelor or higher degree program

    + Maintain cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

    Preferred Qualifications

    + The ideal candidate should have completed coursework in Electrical Engineering with emphasis on circuits, power systems, and transmission planning

    + Experience with scripting languages such as MATLAB and Python, as well as power system analysis tools including PSSE, PSLF, and TARA is highly desirable
