    At CMCS (Cardinal McCloskey Community Services), our mission is to protect, empower, and promote independence for at-risk children and families and those with developmental disabilities through quality community-based services.

     

    We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Preschool Teacher to join our Head Start Program. In this leadership role, you'll guide classroom activities, implement educational programs, and foster a nurturing environment where children can thrive.     Responsibilities:

    + Lead and supervise all classroom functions with professionalism and care

    + Implement daily educational programs that support developmental milestones

    + Maintain accurate daily records and documentation

    + Facilitate engaging, age-appropriate learning activities

    + Collaborate with staff to ensure high-quality Head Start programming

    + Provide mentorship and guidance to classroom support staff

    Requirements:

    + Caring, upbeat personality

    + Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education (Study Plan available)

    + Initial or Permanent B-2 Certification (or equivalent; Study Plan available)

    + 2–5 years of experience working with children ages birth–4 in a classroom setting

    + Head Start experience preferred

    Additional Requirements:

    + Daily access to reliable transportation to Bronx, NY

    + Flexibility with assigned work location(s)

    + Ability to pass and maintain acceptable record related to the mandated criminal background check process
