Hybrid in Dallas (Westlake area) Texas

One of our clients in the Dallas area are looking to add a dedicated Software Engineer to their team. The Software Engineer will be a team player and work across domains to drive and develop next-generation digital engagement experiences for our clients’ associates. In this role, the Software Engineer will require a high level of partnership and collaborate within a matrixed environment, working closely with Business Units, Distribution, and Technology teams.

The Software Engineer will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software solutions. The Software Engineer will actively participate in the development process, writing and maintaining application features and automated tests. The Software engineer will have proven experience with Java, SQL, and APIT testing. The Software Engineer will be ready to make a significant impact and drive innovation to meet business needs.

_Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance._

_Rate: $55-$60 hr. w2_

Responsibilities:

+ Actively participate in the development process through writing and maintain application features and automated tests including unit tests, component tests, integration tests, functional tests, performance tests, scenario tests and interoperability tests

+ Support the team in crafting reliable, portable, accurate and trustworthy tests, and in integrating them into CI/CD pipelines

+ Collaborate with team members on improving team's test coverage, release velocity and production health

+ Design and develop test automation for front-end applications and webservices using Groovy/Geb and Java/HttpClient

+ Participate in application code and test code reviews with rest of the Scrum team

Experience Requirements:

+ Experience with SQL Programming and Data use

+ 4 to 9 years of experience testing and automating front-end and webservice applications

+ Working experience with: Object Oriented Programming Languages (Java, C#, Groovy, etc.); HTTP; RESTful web services; Jenkins; Git

+ Cloud application testing experience (AWS preferred)

Education Requirements:

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software engineering or related field

_Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range._
