    Job Description

    Insight Global is seeking a hands-on and motivated Manufacturing Engineering Technician to support day-to-day manufacturing operations for a leading production facility in Norwood, MA. This individual will play a key role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing and facilities equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. The role involves close collaboration with engineering, operations, and technical teams to drive uptime, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement.

    Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

    -Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance on manual and automated production equipment

     

    -Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals to diagnose and resolve equipment issues

     

    -Partner with manufacturing and process engineers to improve equipment performance and uptime

     

    -Ensure all work complies with ISO 13485 standards and facility safety protocols

     

    -Support installation, setup, and validation of new and existing equipment

     

    -Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance using CMMS

     

    -Identify and implement improvements to equipment reliability, efficiency, and PM procedures

     

    -Assist with fixture design and quick changeover solutions

     

    -Diagnose control system issues and collaborate on resolutions and upgrades

     

    -Support facility infrastructure and maintenance projects as needed

     

    -Perform other duties as assigned by management

    Must-Haves:

    -Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills

     

    -Experience working with automated and manual manufacturing equipment

     

    -Familiarity with ISO 13485 and GMP standards

     

    -Ability to read technical documentation and schematics

     

    -Proficiency with CMMS systems and maintenance documentation

     

    -Excellent communication and teamwork skills

     

    -Willingness to work onsite in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment

    Compensation:

    $27.00/hr to $40.00/hr.

     

    Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education

    Skills and Requirements

     

    -7+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing automation and controls, preferably in medical device or other regulated industries

     

    -Strong background in electro-mechanical systems, including PLC controls and HMI programming (Rockwell/Allen Bradley preferred)

     

    -Proficient in using diagnostic tools (multimeters, micrometers, tachometers) to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues

     

    -Working knowledge of electrical systems (208V/480V), sensors, wiring, and control systems

     

    -Familiarity with GMPs, ISO 13485, and OSHA/EHS compliance standards

     

    -Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and mechanical drawings

     

    -Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and organizational skills

     

    -Customer-focused mindset with a quality-first approach and risk-based decision-making

     

    -Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with minimal supervision

     

    -Self-motivated, proactive, and hands-on with excellent communication skills

     

    -Associate degree in manufacturing technology, mechanical/electrical engineering, or related field preferred
