    Position Overview

    The position will oversee and coordinate the daily activities of our production teams to include the welding team and the finishing team. This role is responsible for supervising welders, framers, finishers, painters and general laborers, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality standards. The Production Supervisor will play a hands-on role in troubleshooting, maintaining workflow, and driving productivity on the shop floor. *Bilingual a huge plus!!

    Requirements

    Knowledge and Expertise

    • Strong knowledge of welding techniques, processes (MIG, TIG, Stick, Flux-core), and fabrication practices.

    • Familiarity with reading and interpreting blueprints, shop drawings, and welding symbols.

    • Understanding of weld inspection methods and quality standards (AWS, ASME, or equivalent).

    • Hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a production environment.

    • Knowledge of shop safety requirements, OSHA regulations, and safe work practices.

    • Basic computer skills for reporting, scheduling, and production tracking.

    Responsibilities

    • Supervise, lead, and motivate a team of production welders to meet daily and weekly production goals.

    • Assign work orders, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of welding and fabrication tasks.

    • Maintain a strong presence on the shop floor, providing technical guidance, hands-on support, and problem-solving as needed.

    • Ensure compliance with welding procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards.

    • Inspect welds and finished products to verify conformance with specifications.

    • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production planning teams to address design issues, material shortages, and production bottlenecks.

    • Train, coach, and develop welders in proper techniques, equipment use, and safety practices.

    • Monitor equipment performance and coordinate with maintenance for repairs and preventive care.

    • Track attendance, performance, and productivity of welders, providing feedback and corrective action when necessary.

    • Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

    Requirements

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in welding preferred.

    • Minimum 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a welding or metal fabrication environment.

    • Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, production-driven setting.

    • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and hold team members accountable.

    • Willingness to work hands-on and adapt to shifting production priorities.
