About the Role
The **Leidos National Security Sector** is seeking a dynamic **Security Operations Specialist** to support **DoD Senior Leadership and Executive working groups** at our **Alexandria, VA, and Pentagon locations** . In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing, administering, and maintaining security across multiple classification levels, from **Unclassified to Top Secret** .
As an integral part of our **Security Team** , you will collaborate with the **Information System Security Officer (ISSO)** and **Information System Security Manager (ISSM)** to ensure adherence to **DoD security standards** , update **Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)** , and maintain compliance with critical security directives—including the **National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM)** and **TS/SCI Physical Security Standards** .
Key Responsibilities
As a **Security Operations Specialist** , you will:
• Oversee **TS/SCI facility security management** , including training, storage, handling, and disposal of classified materials.
• Ensure compliance with security procedures and visitor management protocols.
• Maintain security policies, procedures, and credentialing for the TS/SCI facility.
• Conduct monthly safety checks, including fire extinguisher inspections.
• Coordinate **facility repairs and maintenance** with key stakeholders.
• Process and manage **security-related documentation** and access requests. ✔ Provide **customer support and visitor escort services** , assisting with parking and logistics.
• Assist in **personnel onboarding and out-processing** for security programs.
• Offer **administrative and operational support** , ensuring seamless security compliance.
• Serve as a **backup** for other operations team members as needed.
What You Need to Succeed
• **Active DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility** required.
• **Bachelor’s degree** and **8+ years of relevant experience** , or **Master’s degree** with **6+ years of experience** .
• Strong understanding of **SCIF operations** and **DoD security standards** .
• Expertise in **NISPOM compliance** and TS/SCI security protocols.
• **Site Security Manager/Officer experience** supporting DoD or Intelligence Community facilities.
Preferred Qualifications
• Military experience.
• Security certifications such as **CompTIA Security+** .
• Exceptional writing, planning, and organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $80,600.00 - $145,700.00
