    Job Description

    The Documentation Unit Negotiator will be responsible for drafting, analyzing, negotiating and executing master agreements (ISDA, CSA, and other forms of standard and non-standard trading agreements) with counterparties for trading products such as derivatives, foreign exchange and fixed income products, in addition to certain onboarding documentation required by Dodd Frank. The candidate must ensure that the Bank is adequately protected against legal, risk, and other operational perspectives in all of its trading documents between the firm and its counterparties, by (a) liaising with business lines, operations, legal, treasury, credit, compliance, client services on various documentation issues, (b) interacting with counterparties on a regular basis to educate, negotiate and ultimate execute necessary documents to allow for derivatives trading and (c) working with internal counsel to resolve more complex issues. The candidate must understand the impact of core regulations on the derivatives and other trading markets such as Dodd Frank, and other applicable regulations on the business area and ensure that agreements meet such regulatory requirements. The candidate will be required to provide accurate, real-time updates to all business partners.

    Basic Qualifications

    - Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

     

    - Typically more than 10 years of applicable experience

    Preferred Skills/Experience

    - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school

     

    - At least 10 years working in the banking industry with at least 5 years of experience working in derivatives operations and/or derivatives documentation

     

    - Skillful oral and written communication is necessary; the ability to convey thoughts clearly and succinctly and to communicate pertinent complex information in a clear and organized manner

     

    - Strong analytical and organization skills

     

    - Ability to manage multiple priorities, working under pressure to meet deadlines, and ability to respond quickly in a fast-paced trading environment

     

    - High degree of integrity and strong work ethic

     

    The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

    The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $126,820.00 - $149,200.00
