    Job Summary and Qualifications

     

    The Quality Coordinator is responsible for the coordination, implementation, improvement, and successful achievement/compliance of core measure indicators in accordance with CMS guidelines. The coordinator maintains and coordinates timely policies and procedures maintenance, review/revision, posting, and distribution. The Coordinator organizes and maintains systematic data collection and flow of information between departments and into applicable committees.

    What you will do in this role:

    + Monitor compliance with the Quality program, policies, and procedures

    + Monitor and evaluate Quality program activities, assist with development and implementation of improvement initiatives.

    + Ensure program component necessary for Regulatory Compliance.

    + Conduct staff education for performance improvement and patient safety activities.

    + Participate on PI focus teams and tracer activities.

    + Communicate issues/variances with the Lead Quality Coordinator.

    + Coordinate QM participation throughout the facility.

    + Maintain systematic data collection for monitoring, trending, and reporting of Quality & Pt Safety.

    + Perform QM duties relative to assigned Medical Staff Committees/services.

    + Identify opportunities for performance improvement.

    + Maintain appropriate Quality files.

    + Participate in New Employee Orientation to Quality/Risk.

    + Communicate effectively with staff and physicians regarding Quality & regulatory compliance.

    What qualifications you will need:

    + Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Tennessee or compact state preferred.

    + Minimum 2 years of clinical or related experience required.

    + Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred.

    + 1-2 years of experience in a related leadership position preferred.

    + Excellent interpersonal skills to successfully interact with hospital personnel and physicians required.
