    Overview

     

    We are seeking aLicensed Practical Nurse (LPN)in ourTelemetry UnitatSt. Mary’s Medical Center.

     

    Shift’s Available: Days

     

    Employment Type:Per Diem

     

    Hours:7:00am-7:00pm (12-hour shifts)

    Responsibilities

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

    + Maintains accurate collection of specimens with appropriate patient labels before sending to the Lab.

    + Uses two different patient identifiers consistently when drawing lab, administering medications or performing any procedure on a patient.

    + Follows all medication policies including the medication reconciliation policy consistently.

    + Establishes priorities of patient care based on essential needs and available resources of time, equipment, personnel and supplies.

    + Demonstrates understanding of the roles and functions of other members of the interdisciplinary treatment team.

    + Collaborates with other members of the health team and manages unit issues and/or concerns effectively at the lowest level possible.

    Qualifications

    Education and Work Experience

     

    + Current and valid state license

    + Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.

    + IV certification upon hire (state specific)
