Delta’s
Global Communication team is seeking candidates who are motivated to
contribute, curious to learn and energized to engage for internships at the
airline’s headquarters in Atlanta. Interns will deepen their knowledge of a
global consumer brand, directly support the efforts of employee and public
communications teams and gain exposure to other departments, partners and
experiences.
The
Delta Global Communications internship will include:
+ An introductionto the Delta culture and operation including exclusive, behind-the-scenesaccess to the inner workings of a global airline.
+ Full integrationinto the Communications team, where interns will shadow and support internaland external communications campaigns.
+ Directinteraction with Delta people who work in airports, in the operation, on-board,behind the scenes and in high-level leadership positions.
Global
Communications teams are seeking eight full-time interns for the Summer of
2026. Specific roles will be assigned based on the interns’ skillset interests
and aspirations. Those roles and responsibilities may include:
+ Supportcommunications programs and strategies that build Delta’s reputation as acustomer-centric airline driven by an innovative, sustainable andemployee-focused culture.
+ Support theoverall employee communications strategy, employee storytelling campaigns,partner relationships, and corporate and HR announcements.
+ Supportstrategies and tactics that shape Delta’s positioning and reputation throughreactive and proactive tactics.
+ Support inbroader administrative duties, media inquiry response, media event staffing andother opportunities.
+ Support contentmanagement and publishing on Delta’s employee channel – Deltanet, and publicnews website – Delta News Hub.
+ Developmulti-format storytelling efforts, in addition to support daily writing andediting work.
+ Collaborate withthe Platforms team on owned platforms to create engaging, sophisticated andreliable channels for the distribution of content and productivity enablement.
+ Develop assetsand communications for media, government stakeholders and relevant thirdparties in support of Delta’s brand and policy goals.
+ Shadow, assistand lead efforts to support communications strategic and tactical efforts, bothinterns and external.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
+ Must be a current student enrolled in anaccredited undergraduate degree program at a college and/or university.
+ Must be able to commit to the duration of theinternship.
+ Must be able to work onsite in the Atlanta, GAoffice.
+ Have a competitive GPA and be in good academicstanding with your university.
+ Delta Communications interns are expected tohave strong written and oral communication skills, meet deadlines, be thorough,detail-oriented, communicate effectively with all levels of personnel andexcited to contribute ideas and perspectives in a fast-paced environment.
+ Intern candidates should have a workingknowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
+ Demonstrates that privacy is a priority whenhandling personal data.
+ Embraces a diverse set of people, thinking andstyles.
+ Consistently makes safety and security, of selfand others, the priority.
+ Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or highschool equivalency.
+ Is at least 18 years of age and hasauthorization to work in the United States.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
A current student enrolled in an accredited undergraduate
Communications, Marketing, or Public Relations degree program at a college
and/or university graduating between Fall 2026 and Spring 2027.
