    Job Description

    We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and service-oriented Part-Time Customer Service Attendant to join our team on the Ira Davenport Memorial Hospital campus located in Bath, NY. As the first point of contact for patients, families, and visitors, you will create a welcoming and safe environment while assisting guests with directions, inquiries, and transportation needs. This is a part-time role with a strong focus on hospitality, safety, and confidentiality.

     

    Your Schedule

     

    + Monday through Friday

    + Approximately 20 hours per week

    + Day shift

    Key Responsibilities

    + Greet patients, families, and visitors with courtesy and professionalism upon arrival and departure

    + Provide assistance with entering/exiting vehicles, using safe patient-handling techniques

    + Escort or transport guests to their hospital destinations, offering wheelchair assistance or help with packages when needed

    + Monitor and maintain the appearance and accessibility of the hospital entrance

    + Operate the Courtesy Cart safely and according to guidelines

    + Keep the front driveway clear for drop-off and pick-up

    + Park customers’ vehicles when necessary

    + Contact Security, Environmental Services, or Facilities Management for support as needed

    + Follow infection control protocols and encourage patients to do the same

    + Maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA standards

    + Uphold hospital policies, procedures, and professional appearance requirements

    Qualifications

    + High school diploma or equivalent required

    + Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred (6+ months)

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on compassionate service

    + Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in all weather conditions

    + Ability to lift at least 40 lbs. and climb stairs

    + Clean and valid New York or Pennsylvania driver’s license required
