Primary Responsibilities:

+ Student manager of the library on weekends

+ Open and close building on assigned days

+ Assist library patrons in locating library materials, troubleshoot basic printing and software problems, check in/out library materials and equipment

+ Assist with shelving library materials and other tasks as assigned

+ Provide a conducive work environment for all students using the library

+ Provide Leadership to fellow student workers

+ Enforce appropriate library behavior, as needed

Job Requirements:

+ Cumulative College GPA of 3.0

+ Be in good judicial standing with the college

+ Outstanding customer services skills

+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

+ Willingness to both supervise and enforce campus/library policy among peers

+ Self-confident, self-directed using common sense and good judgment

+ Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems

Preferred requirements:

+ Completion of minimum 2 semesters on the SUNY Delhi campus (but freshmen are encouraged to apply)

+ Reside on campus

Library Hours: (covered by multiple students)

Beginning of the semester

+ Monday - Thursday: 8:00 am - 10:00 pm

+ Friday: 8:00 am - 8:00 pm

+ Saturday: 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm

+ Sunday: 12:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Beginning week 6 of the semester

+ Monday - Thursday: 8:00 am - 12:00 am

+ Friday: 8:00 am - 8:00 pm

+ Saturday: 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm

+ Sunday: 12:00 pm - 12:00 am

*Additional hours as needed for special events and finals week

Wages: $16.00 per hour
